Getting to know Ms. Cunningham!

As a first year teacher here at Oakdale High, I am very eager and excited to get to know and teach your students either Art I or Ceramics I. Prior to getting to know them, I feel it is important for them, and you, to get to know me. I have grown up in Walkersville, MD my whole life. Upon graduation from Walkersville High School, I attended Frostburg State University where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design; focusing in Graphic Design and Painting. Immediately after, I attended Mount Saint Mary's University where I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Art Education. 

In my free time, I enjoy running. In May, I ran my first half marathon - the Pittsburgh Half Marathon. This leads me to my next passion- SPORTS. I am a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Pittsburgh Penguins fan and Boston Redsox fan. 

Because art is so important to me, I feel that it is the best way to get to know me. I have produced A LOT of artwork over the years, however, only some is included below. Enjoy!

Urtica Dioica, Botanical Illustration and Adobe Photoshop, 11"x17" - I stippled (dotted) the original drawing, scanned it into the computer, and "painted it" using Adobe Photoshop.
